The Nice Things: February

1. Little treats. Getting paid at the end of January felt like a long time coming so I had to use the money to treat myself for surviving the most boring month of the year. Asos also provided free next day delivery so it would have been rude not to buy a few things.

2. Sofa cuddles with Eddie. Technically Eddie isn't allowed on the sofa but whenever I visit my dad's and he gives me those puppy dog eyes I can't resist.

3. Family nights out. This month my Grandma and Grandad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Fifty years is certainly a long time to have spent with one person and they decided to celebrate in the form of a nice family meal. Me and my sister (in the photo) enjoyed an excuse to get dressed up and eat lots of nice food. It was a really lovely evening.

4. A weekend with my best friend. This past weekend I jumped on a train, bus and then another train (damn landslides making my journey difficult) to see my best friend. We spent the weekend chatting, laughing, eating lots of domino's and doing a bit of shopping. Despite the fact that we live apart now whenever we meet up it's like nothing has changed and no time has passed. I believe that is the definition of real friendship.

Even though February is the shortest month I feel like it has gone of forever. I hate to sound terribly British but I really think it's because it is so cold! I've got some fun things planned for March so here's hoping next month is a bit cheerier and that warmer weather finally comes out of hiding.
